Comprehensive Stand-alone OPC Server linking legacy devices and external networks to OPC
The FieldServer OPC Server is a stand-alone gateway linking legacy devices and systems using other protocols to OPC. The extensive FieldServer driver library combined with the OPC Server provides a wide range of protocols direct link to powerful OPC process control and building automation applications. Serial and Ethernet protocols are available such as Modbus, BACnet, Metasys and other protocols used on PLCs, fire alarm panels, HVAC devices, process controls, boilers, chillers and more. The FieldServer driver library has over 85 different protocols interfacing to over 300 different devices. Dual redundancy configuration is available for critical applications.
The FS-B-OPC Server includes one RS-232 serial port (RS-485 to RS-232 converters available) and one Ethernet port. Two USB ports are available for configuratin and data transfer. The Server comes complete with Microsoft Windows XP Porfessional and FieldServer MB8PC Software. The server is OPC Foundation compliant with Data Access Server Version 2.0. The base system has a 1,000 point capacity upgradable to 10,000 points.
